Anthropic, the US-based company behind the popular chatbot Claude, is creating more than 150 new jobs in Europe. The company plans to hire around 100 across its offices in London and Dublin.
The new jobs will cover engineering, sales, and business operations research. To accompany the expansion, former Stripe boss Guillaume Prensin has been appointed head of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
The Claude chatbot is already used by companies including WPP, BMW, and Novo Nordisk. The expansion follows the company’s successful $3.5 billion funding round last month, which gave it a total valuation of $61.5 billion.
